Hello All, We have a SQL Native backup to local Drive and we want to upload the backup files to S3 bucket. Schedule is Monthly Full backup and daily differential. I would like to know, how the cloudberry upload the backup file, for example Current month backup file (.bak) is 600 GB and uploaded to S3 Next month new backup file is (.bak) is 700 GB. Does the cloudberry upload the entire 700 GB to cloud or it will do some sort of de-duplication with respect to the file in the cloud and upload only the difference 100 GB. New backup file name is different and we are not appending the new backup to the existing one. Is it possible to do. As Cloudberry default is incremental backup, so normally it will upload the changes, in this situation the change is 700 GB

With SQL server backup it's a bit difference from file level/Image based backups. CloudBerry use native Windows tools and the backup is differential. There is no any deduplication of a full backup *.bak file.

So far, if you don't like to upload such amount of data monthly, you should rely on Differential parts and schedule your Full backup less frequent.
