Is there any difference when it comes to your local storage between a NAS or HDD? I realize the hardware is different, but from a CBB perspective... Does the software care? I don't think I've seen any features in CBB that seem to be different in between the two destinations.

Are you referring to target storage or backing up local disk vs NAS? If backing up, then there are differences like VSS, NTFS Permissions, etc. that are available for local disk but not NAS. If target then they are similar.

Sorry, I'm referring to a target destination for an image, file, or hybrid job.

The software works with local drives, Remote shares or NAS drives as destinations for local backups.

Yes, I was thinking of how Windows Server Backup doesn't treat a NAS the same as a USB HDD. How you lose the differentials or whatever... But in my experience CBB makes no distinction between a local or NAS destination. I was just double checking.
