If a restore of a file backup would create the directory tree first and then restore the newest files first, users could start working a lot sooner. I have been backing up a cloud NAS solution with MSP360 and have discovered that only 10% of the files have been used in the last 360 days. So if a restore would recover the newest files first, most of the users could go back to work once the first 10% of the files are restored.
I am using the New Backup Format with a file-level backup.
I really like the new format. Expecially since it can restore directories back to the way there were at the time of the backup.
Another feature that would be nice is to add a search capability. Sometimes users know the name of the file but not exactly the directory it was in. Being able to do wildcard searches would be helpful.
