Assuming IAM role in CloudBerry Explorer

    Hello, I'm trying to setup CloudBerry Explorer to use my IAM role to access AWS. I'm following the instructions here: https://www.msp360.com/resources/blog/assuming-an-iam-role/ . However, the way we've setup IAM roles means that we don't use an External Id in AWS. When I leave the ExternalId blank in the CloudBerry settings file I get a connection error.

    Has anyone found a way of using IAM roles to login to AWS through CloudBerry, without using an AWS External Id?

    Hello Rachel,

    This is an interesting question indeed, as far as i know there is no way yet to use IAM Role assumption without External ID at the moment. However we will definitely consider such functionality in our future versions. Thank you.

    Hi,
    I have assume IAM role issue as well, but not only with external ID, I cannot get it to work on Mac, and I also don't have external ID.

    Any way this can work with the MSP360 Explorer app on Mac?
