We are moving what we can from Datto Alto/Siris devices to MSP360. With the Datto, we get image and file backups in one -- we don't have to think about a full image backup vs a backup that we can just pull files from if needed. We always have both in one backup. For MSP360, that does not appear to be the case, correct? If I want both an image backup (for a bare-metal restore) and file backups (to be able to restore just a few files from yesterday if a client calls and accidentally deleted something) with MSP360, I assume that I need to configure two separate backups, correct? They basically are independent from each other?
It seems like such a waste of bandwidth for double the data transfer for what is essentially the same data underneath, yes? Or is there some better way to do this that I'm overlooking?
Thanks -- actually just discovered that a few minutes ago and was coming here to update. I'm not sure this feature existed when I first started using CBB long ago. Or maybe I overlooked in. In any case, it does look like an Image backup is enough to do what I want now without the separate file backup. Thanks!
Thanks for the update. If you'd like a private demo of the product, please reach out to our team as they'd be happy to show you whatever you'd like to see. https://www.msp360.com/personal-demo/
