How it used to work
There was no easy way to provide a static link to remote users who needed remote help and do not have the technical knowledge or time to download and install Connect Free. Every QuickSupport release includes the version number in its file name. That means, every time a new QuickSupport version is released, the hosted file name would change.

Any provided links to the current QuickSupport version would only work as long as that same version was available. If a remote user tried to use the same link in the future, there was a risk that a new QuickSupport version was released and the link would no longer work.

How it Works Today
You can now send remote users a static link to download Connect QuickSupport. This URL never changes and will always download the latest Connect QuickSupport release.
