Storage limit for linux file system destination

In the free version of linux, for the storage limit, is it applied only for the cloud or for file systems too, because I am planning to try this product to backup on couple of external HDD for sometime.

For local backups on the free version you can store up to 1TB in backup storage. If that's not enough you'll have to move to a paid version.
