    Hi there!

    As you know, we are designing the image-based backup feature for Linux.
    As a first step, we started with the design of our own approach for snapshot, of file or volume creation regardless of their state. The result appeared even when they are in use. After many hours of painstaking work, we have developed our own snapshot technology called CloudBerry Snapshot Driver for Linux.

    How it works:

    The snapshot driver feature consists of two interconnected parts:
    • snapshot device;
    • snapshot driver;
    The snapshot driver is a mechanism that mirrors the selected disk partition to the snapshot device. Thereby, the snapshot device contains the state of all original files in ‘as is’ state at the moment of snapshot creation.
    I urge you to take part in the testing of our new snapshot feature. Besides, I warn you that this feature is in a beta version state and it might affect the system, so I highly recommend to install the snapshot driver in an isolated stand-alone environment!

    If you are interested and would like to join testing, please fill out the form and I will send you a link to download the beta version of CloudBerry Snapshot driver.

    To learn more about the snapshot driver, refer to our help documentation.

    Thank you!
