• Backup Service stopping
How do i check the security software? As far as version, it's 7.1.3.28 . I do also notice that our 'Maintenance' has expired. Could that potentially be a reason?
  • ERROR: disk I/O error, backups not running
Target disk has 76.7 TB free, so we could rule that out. Odd as the backups have been running almost flawlessly but for some reason, won't even start. I tried escalating & perhaps having a screen share wi/ CloudBerry support, but I'm still waiting for their reply.
  • All backups have stopped, 'Account not specified' ??
Seems like there was an ERROR thrown around the time all the backups stopped:

Error occurred during backup: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
  • Backing up to external USB drive first.
Yea it's been 24 hours & it looks like it's not even 50% done. So initially, I backed everything up to an external hard drive first. From there, I copied everything that was backed up on to the external HD onto another server (that's remote). I then followed Matt''s instructions & changed the storage destination from the external hard drive to the new server. Now, I'm at the repository sync stage, but it looks like it's not going to be finishing anytime soon. I was thinking, if I create a brand new plan, that's exactly the same as the original plans, would that work? Basically, would it skip the full backup phase since the full backup has already been transferred from the external HD to the remote server? Sorry, if this is confusing, I can explain more thoroughly if needed, but want to get this working.
  • Backing up to external USB drive first.
Hate to bump this thread, but how long should a repository sync take? I tried a test run of this & it worked. But I was only working wi/ a small amount of data & didn't get to track how long the repo sync took then. Now moving on to production, I'd want to know ahead of time how long the repo sync would take. If I'm correct, the database is around 11GB.

Additionally, another question I have is, what would happen if the server is accidentally rebooted while a Repository Sync was taking place?
  • Spaces in paths causing backup plans to fail ??
Logs sent. Explained further & what I tried to do in the description.
  • Any way to speed up backup speed?
copying a 3.67GB iso file transfers at about 7-19 MB/s ( 7 being the lowest, 19 being the peak).
  • Any way to speed up backup speed?
ok. how big of a file do you want me to copy over?
  • Any way to speed up backup speed?
The external HD is USB 3.0, however I'm not sure any of the USB ports on my server are 3.0. Compression & encryption aren't enabled. 8 virtual processors are on the server (Can you recommend what thread/chunk size I should use from that?). I can confirm I;m backing up a local disk on the server to the external HD. I can confirm I'm accessing the external HD using a drive letter & not a network share name.
  • Deleting Glacier Vaults, 'database is locked'
Just sent the diagnostic logs. Will anticipate your/a response.
  • Deleting Glacier Vaults, 'database is locked'
Also to add, in addition to the 'database is locked' errors, I'm also getting some errors on some files such as 'Index was outside the bounds of the array.' & 'The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.'
  • Deleting Glacier Vaults, 'database is locked'
I've followed what you said & left it running over the weekend, but unfortunately, I'm still getting the same 'database is locked' for many files. Really need to delete the Glacier vault, so any help will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Matt. Will try that & see if I have any luck & will get back to you.
  • Backing up to external USB drive first.
Thanks. Will give it a try.

Also, when I transfer the data to the storage destination, do I have to rename the folders in a particular way so that CloudBerry knows?
  • Backing up to external USB drive first.
Do you recommend using CloudBerry to backup the folders to the external or can I just copy & paste the folders directly?
